Downey’s Farm: prices, hours and what families should know
Last verified August 15, 2026
Downey’s is closer to an outdoor family attraction than a simple pick-your-own farm. Its admission covers more than 40 activities, including jumping pillows, farm animals, wagon rides, mini golf, slides and farm-themed play. Families should compare a single visit with the season pass only after deciding whether four visits are genuinely realistic.

One of the GTA’s strongest all-day farm outings—best value for active children.

Choose it when
- Families seeking several hours of structured outdoor play in one location
- Toddlers through elementary-age children who enjoy climbing, slides and animals
- Nearby families likely to make four or more regular-season visits
Important cautions
- Every guest from age 2 through 92 needs admission, so multigenerational totals rise quickly
- Outside food, picnics and pets are not permitted during regular public visits
- Pumpkinfest, Easter and Christmas operate under different tickets or pass rules
What the visit includes
Know what is included before you promise children a full farm day.
Giant jumping pillows, combine slides, a corn bin, giant sandbox and younger-child play structures spread activity across the farmyard.
Wagon rides, farm animals, a chicken show, mini golf, rubber-duck races and farm games add variety beyond a standard playground.
The Farm Market can be visited without Play Area admission and is the practical stop for baked goods or produce.
The regular Play Area converts into Pumpkinfest after September 18, so fall visitors should read the separate event inclusions before buying.
A realistic family plan
A smoother visit in three decisions.
- 1
Arrive close to opening on a weekend; begin with the large physical attractions before queues and midday heat build.
- 2
Use the wagon ride and animal areas as lower-energy breaks, then return to the play structures after food and washroom stops.
- 3
Before leaving, ask at the admission booth whether the day ticket can still be upgraded if a season pass now makes sense.
Conditions that change the day
Working farms are not controlled indoor attractions.
The farm uses a mix of asphalt, grass and gravel, and Downey’s says its wagon has accessibility ramps. Uneven agricultural ground can still be difficult after rain; contact the farm for a route-specific mobility question.
Food is available on site and the market is outside the ticketed Play Area. Because outside food is restricted, review current menus before visiting with allergies or a highly selective eater.
Most activities are outdoors and the farm operates in changing conditions. Wet ground, heat and wind can affect comfort or selected activities even when the property remains open.
For a required mobility, sensory, allergy or washroom accommodation, contact the farm before buying. Crop supply, animal access and outdoor activities can change without notice.
Price record
Seasonal numbers are snapshots—not permanent prices.
Infants 23 months and under are free. The 2026 season pass is $89.99 + HST per person; Easterfest and Christmas are excluded.
The season pass costs a little under five regular admissions before tax. Downey’s markets it for four-plus visits, but calculate the exact household total and remember that major holiday events are excluded.
